Storyteller | Keynote Speaker | Facilitator | Mentor | Consultant | Instructor
Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience supporting children, families, and educators through program leadership, consulting, and post-secondary teaching.
Kimberley Faber is a storyteller, speaker, facilitator, mentor, consultant, and instructor who delivers workshops and keynotes based on real-life experience. A Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience, Kim brings hands-on knowledge from across the field, working both locally and nationally.
While much of her professional experience is grounded in the early years, her work extends outside child care and speaks to broader themes of learning, connection, and growth that resonate across professions and community settings.
Over the years, Kim has held a wide range of roles in child care, from managing programs to working directly in classrooms with children of all ages, with a strong focus on inclusion and supporting newcomer families as they settle into their communities.
Her experience includes supporting educators on the front lines, assessing and monitoring centres for provincial and federal programs, and teaching as a post-secondary instructor. These roles have shaped a practical, grounded perspective informed by what the work looks like day to day, beyond policies and plans, and centred on the people doing the work.
Kim also brings a strong foundation in adult education. She holds a Recognition of Achievement in Excellence in Educating Adults from Seneca College, which continues to shape how she designs learning experiences that are engaging, reflective, and grounded in real-world practice.
Through her ongoing consulting and facilitation work, Kim delivers learning experiences in person, online, and in blended formats. She brings real-world experience into classrooms, workshops, and organizations, supporting educators and teams as they build confidence, professionalism, and purpose, with moments of connection and shared smiles along the way.
Alongside her professional work, Kim’s experiences as a parent have deepened her understanding of inclusion, advocacy, and the realities families face within systems, reinforcing the importance of supporting one another and recognizing that it truly takes a village.
Known for her relatable storytelling style, Kim helps people reflect on life’s everyday “oops” moments and gently turn them into opportunities for growth, connection, and learning, one perfectly imperfect step at a time.
Kim has never been afraid to get her hands dirty in the name of learning.

This Early Learning Edition is currently under development.
Written for anyone who works with children, this book captures moments many will recognize and others will come to understand. It’s not a textbook and it’s not theory. It’s reflective, story-based learning rooted in everyday practice.
You’ll recognize moments like:
sitting in tiny blue chairs while writing observations
realizing some of the most creative moments do not leave anything to hang up on the walls
holding a conversation while tying laces, wiping hands, and counting heads
keeping one eye on ratios and paperwork while responding very seriously to injuries that disappear the moment you look
These stories reflect the humour, heart, and learning that show up in real time, often when you least expect them.
This book is being developed to pair with professional learning opportunities, including workshops and reflective discussions.
Launching in time for ECE Appreciation Day.
( Oct. 21, 2026)
